Booking Calendar

Has anyone used Smartsheet to setup and use a "booking calendar"? Specifically, if I have 4 companies that are able to use 3 different conference rooms and I was wondering if I could set up a view of the schedule of those rooms and allowing the booking of those rooms via Smartsheet instead of an outside app. Many of those booking would NOT have Smartsheet and all are on different domains for their email services.

Has anyone created, used or seen this type of application in Smartsheet?

I have not set it up before, but you should be able to get close to this by using the Calendar App. If you set the calendar up to allow new events and include a web form for adding events, then it should allow users to set new reservations on the calendar.

I am attempting to do the same thing using the Calendar App. It seems to work ok. What i'm struggling with is making sure that people don't double book the same room.
