Activating a Dropdown Choice Via Checkbox?

Hello,

I have a scenario where I have a column of checkboxes for users to check if approved engineering change order documentation has been sent to a supplier. I have another column with dropdown lists to select the status of the engineering change order. I would like the dropdown choice "Engineering Change completed" to be deactivated or not appear until the "documentation sent" checkbox is checked.

Is this possible? If so, how? If not, how can I submit this to Smartsheet as a feature request?

When you 'not appear' are you working in a Form or in a Sheet during this data entry process?

Sheet. I think new engineering change orders are added to the sheet via form, but it seems that updating the "current stage" is via the sheet.

You can use a formula to select the response in your status column- but it has to be formulas for all choices. You cannot sometimes manually update the column and sometimes use a formula within that same column. You can have a separate column, when checkbox(es) are checked to indicate Engineering change order is complete. But no, currently there is no logic in a sheet that will hide one response in a dropdown column
