Unique Contact Lists

I am setting up the downloaded “Template Set – Sales Pipeline Tracking”.

In “Sheet – Sales Pipeline,” the column heading “Contact Name” uses the Column Type “Contact List,” as does the “Sales Rep” column. Our Sales Reps are internal employees. And the Contact Names are external customer contact.  How can I assign these each of these columns to have (and build) unique Drop-Down lists?

    Can I setup Separate (Distinct) Contact Lists?

    1. Internal to my Company
    2. Vendors/Suppliers
    3. Sales Contacts

    Then have one of these Specific lists available to (associated with) a Specific "Contact List " column type in the Smartsheet? (i.e. , a "Sales" Contact-List column which only presents drop-down choices from the Sales Contact list. AND an "Internal to the Company" Contact List column type)

    Hi @A10nx515

    Yes! Once you have added values to your Contact Column, you can check the box that says "Restrict to List Values Only" which means that this specific column will only allow users to select an option from that list.
