Display rows on a sheet based on survey results

Hello Community,

new to Smartsheets and a little lost so appreciate anyone who can point me in the right direction. I am working on a risk assessment and have imported a set of questionnaire responses (questions in column 1 and answers in column 2) into a grid. 90% of the answers are yes/no. I have a second grid that contains a list of risks (each row has multiple columns e.g. threat, vulnerability, risk statement, control...

What I am trying to achieve is that when I import a questionnaire response, I can generate a new sheet (report) with a list of risks that are triggered depending on the responses to the questions. Most questions would trigger a single risk (depending on the response) but some questions trigger multiple risks.

I hope my description makes sense, appreciate the support of the community.

Regards, Dylan

    Hi @Dylan J

I hope you're well and safe!

    Not sure I follow.

How often will you need to create a new one? From what are you importing the data?

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

    I hope that helps!

Be safe and have a fantastic week!

    Hi Andrée.

I'm good thanks, other than trying to find a solution to this problem. I trust you are well also.

I am importing questionnaire responses from Survey Monkey and I will need to generate a list of risks for multiple responses.

Here is an example questionnaire response (there are around 100 question and answer pairs):

Here is an example of the risk sheet:

So, for example, if the answer to the question on row 3 = No, then I need to print the risk statement in row 1 (and some other fields in the row) to a new sheet. The relationship can be 1:1 or 1:many (answers to risks). So the final output would be a list of risks with some indication of the response (Question and answer number) that triggered them.

    Regards, Dylan
