Displaying information on a dashboard based on today's date and the past 7 days

Hi

I have created a dashboard with a chart widget (columns). It is currently displaying all of the information from my report. My report is using Summary Sheet information. The end user only wants to see the information for the past 7 days, not all of the data. Is there a way for the dashboard to automatically update on a daily basis to only show the last 7 days worth of data?

my suggestion would be to run a new/separate report filtered down to the last 7 days and run the widget off that new report. This will automatically update and should solve this issue.
