Cell linking
I've been testing cell linking and it's not working as I expect. I was hoping that if I select the cells in a destination sheet, and link to the cells in the source sheet, that when a new submission (row) to the source sheet was made, it would automatically show the data in a new row in the destination sheet. However, it seems the data doesn't show up in the destination sheet until I link to the source sheet again for the next row in the destination sheet. What am I missing? Why isn't it creating the new row in the destination sheet? I did select many rows in the destination and source to create link and did refresh the source sheet and destination sheets.

Have you thought about using an automation as an alternattive?
The automation would be when a new row is added in the source sheet row to detination sheet.
Would that work?

I hope you're well and safe!
You could use cross-sheet formulas instead of cell-linking combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

@BullandKhmer
I'll have to look into automation, however I only want certain cells to update in the destination, not the whole row.
I'm not sure about the cross sheet formulas, I'm just a beginner and didn't really even use those in Excel. It sounds complicated :)
Do either of you have links to training on either of these options?
