Shout-out functionality

Hello,

We are trying to determine if the shout-out functionality is able to be turned off for our group. Does anyone know if this a possibility?

Would you be able to clarify what you mean by the "shout-out functionality"? Do you mean @mentions in comments in a Sheet (see: Tag Someone With the @ Sign)

You can adjust your notification preferences by clicking on Account > Personal Settings > Notifications:

If I've misunderstood what you're looking to turn off, it would be helpful to see a screen capture of the feature you're referring to.

This is helpful, thank you. But we don't want our users to be able to shout-out people at all when they do the "@". Does that make sense?

Hi @Cole13

There isn't a way to turn off the @mention feature at an organization level, it's part of Smartsheet's built in features. This means that you won't be able to stop others from using @mention with each other, but you can set your own personal settings to not receive those emails, if that's your preference.
