Collecting Most recent Status (based on most recent date @ topic)

I wrote these, and I cannot seem to get them to work, can someone assist?

To get status date - =MAX(COLLECT({Status Report - Status Date}, {Status Report - Workstream}, [primary column]@row))

to get the scope status for specific topic - =INDEX(COLLECT({Status Report - Scope}, {Status Report - Workstream}, [Primary Column]@row, {Status Report - Status Date}, $[Status Date]2), 1)

I am getting an unparseable message, not sure why, maybe its a primary column issue? Please advise

Would you be able to post a screen capture of the sheet with the formulas, but block out sensitive data? If would also be helpful to see the sheet you're referencing, identifying where each {cross sheet reference} is looking.
