COUNTIFS Question--Calculation vs Filter Results

This formula returns a count of 12

However, when I use the filters, I get a count of 10

Can you help me identify what the issue is in my formula? Why is it counting 2 more cells than the filter?

AND(@cell >= TODAY(-30), @cell <= TODAY())

Are there any dates in the future? Your formula will pick those up.

Yes! Oops! Can you advise how to rewrite the the date range in the formula to not pick up future dates?
