Adding colour

Is there any way to change the column name cell colour or even the text colour? I want to use the sheet as a tracker and I would like to make the entry fields for users easily identifiable with a different colour. I don't particularly like the look of having a colour applied to the full column. If this is not possible, any other ideas?
