Two Week Lookahead and Past Due Filter

I would like to create a filter that pulls any Open tasks that are either Past Due or are coming due in the next 7 days. I can easily set the filter for Past Due or One Week Out, but I can't seem to do both. See screenshot. Is there a way to do this?

To add to Holly's excellent advice/answer.

Another option could be to add a so-called helper column with a formula that checks the same conditions as the filter and use that instead in the filter.

Make sense?

Click where it says "all conditions" to change it to either condition.

Hi @hollyconradsmith. Thanks for the reply. The downside with that approach is that it will bring in items with a completed status. See screenshot. It's basically looking for where any of those three clauses are true. In a perfect world, I could do "Status is not one of Complete" AND ("End Date is in the next 7 days" OR "End Date is in the past").

Have you considered creating a row report? The filtering functionality in reports is more robust and will definitely get you what you need.

I haven't tried that. I was hoping to do it in the core sheet where I interact and update items more frequently, but that could be an alternative. Thanks for your help.

Thanks @Andrée Starå. I think that will probably be the easiest option at the moment. Wish Smartsheet would add AND/OR functionality to their filters for use cases like this.
