Data Shuttle Upload Workflows: How to Prevent Overwriting Existing Sheet Reference Formulas?

I have a few INDEX/MATCH formulas on my target sheet in a data upload workflow that reference other sheets. Anytime rows on my target sheet are removed from additional filter criteria I include in the workflow, Datashuttle erases content from the entire rows.

Is there anyway to lock these formulas in to avoid being removed by a Datashuttle refresh/modification?

Can you make them column formulas? This way even if the row gets deleted and recreated, the formula column persists.

I can for some columns, however others give me an error message. I went ahead and removed the cell locks ($) from the formulas and voila, it worked. Thank you!!!
