Column not showing under Assign People in an Automated Workflow
I've got a set of Contact columns pulling contacts from another sheet with VLOOKUP. The other sheet is a mapping table basically, and I want to throw the correct name for each submitted case depending on some of the fields.
None of these Contact Columns is showing under Assign People in an Automated Workflow. Is there something I could do to fix this? Or is it (yet another) limitation?
Thanks in advance.

Turns out the Assign People function only allows contact columns that have allow a single contact.
My original columns had the "Allow multiple contacts per cell" ticked, and that's why they were not showing in the drop down.

Hi @Yanis Kyr
The first thing to check is to ensure that your columns are really a Contact type of column.
If they are, and if you have formulas in the cells, you'll need to make sure that the formulas a cell formulas versus a Column Formula. Column Formulas will lock the column so you wouldn't be able to write to it either manually or through a workflow.
Here's more information: Assign People in an Automated Workflow
If this hasn't helped, it would be useful to see screen captures of your set-up, but please block out sensitive data.
Cheers,
Genevieve

Hi @Genevieve P. thanks for the input.
I've got Column Formulas indeed, so this seems to be the limiting factor. But I'm not trying to write to it though a workflow.. I'm just trying to use the contacts in it - basically read them, and assign.

Hi @Yanis Kyr
If you're looking to read those columns, then you'll want to select them in the Condition block portion of the workflow:
Then you can write to a different Contact column in the same sheet. Is that what you were looking to do?
