Birthday/Anniversary Reminders
Hi, Please can you help.
I'm trying to set up a sheet with birthday/anniversary alerts and messages. I found a few questions and answers regarding this, but none of those formulas are working for me, I keep on getting errors, so I am probably doing something wrong, but I just can't figure it out what I'm doing wrong.
#INVALID COLUMN VALUE
#INCORRECT ARGUMENT SET
#UNPARSEABLE

Excellent!
Glad we got it working!
Information for others.
I've added a formula now that will update for each year.
=DATE(YEAR(TODAY()), MONTH(Birthday@row), DAY(Birthday@row))

Hi @Desire
I hope you're well and safe!
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi Andree,
I shared my sheet with you.
I'm battling to get the automation right, I want to send automatic reminders...
1 - to the team reminding them of someone's birthday the following day (tomorrow)
2 - to send a message to the birthday person on the day, wishing them happy birthday

No, it doesn't work, I get a "#INVALID COLUMN VALUE" error.
Do I need to create a new column for this formula?
How do I set the automation up for the two separate reminders?
1 - Reminder the day before, to all members on the sheet (excluding the birthday boy/girl) reminding them of X's birthday the following day.
2 - A message to the birthday boy/girl, wishing them happy birthday on the day.
Thanks
-
My apologies, it is working now.
Thank you for your assistance!!!
Have a great weekend!!!

I am trying to do the same thing and cannot get the formulas suggested to work. Help! I would like notifications to send for both anniversary dates, and birthdays. Easiest way is likely creating a date column and having automations based on that column.

Hi @Jennica
This is what I have, and it's working for me...
In Bday Formula I have the following...
=DATE(YEAR(TODAY()); MONTH(Birthday@row); DAY(Birthday@row))
In Ann Formula I have the following...
=DATE(YEAR(TODAY()); MONTH(Anniversary@row); DAY(Anniversary@row))
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Desiré

@Andrée Starå Hi Andree -
I tried your formulas and they are not working for me. Maybe it is because I am in the United States and show our dates differently...? I did try multiple variations of the formulas thinking that was the problem but nothing seems to work. Any help or insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
