Help with team-vacation-planner template
I'm using the Team Vacation Planner template located at: https://www.smartsheet.com/marketplace/us/templates/team-vacation-planner
It's a great template, but I can' work out how to add additional team members and retain the formulas structure.
In particular, how would I:
1 - Create new staff and for them to appear on the calendar view
2 - Understand where the colours are defined that shows them on the calendar view
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
To start, on the menu bar, change it from "Calendar view" to "Gantt View". This will let you add in your additional staff.
Next, enter the formula: =NETWORKDAYS([Start Date]@row, [End Date]@row)
Some of the formulas seemed to have row numbers, but this is row generic - so going forward you can copy this into new sections. Unfortunately you cannot use the Convert to column formula option because that will mess up your sum by staff.
As for the colors, I'm not sure if there is an easier way, but I right clicked on the color bar that shows in the associated dates in the Gantt section and edited the color to match.
Hope that helps some!

Hi Amanda,
Many thanks.
You mention to switch to Gantt view and it will let me add in my additional staff, but I'm not sure how? If I left or right click on anything on the gantt (right half of the page) nothing happens.
I basically see this:
I have added in Patrick and Katherine, and where the 'example' fields are, I have added the formula you suggested above, but I can't work out how they are added to the calendar. You can see that the pre-entered template staff members (the first 4) have a continuous line on the Gantt section. I don't have any idea how to replicate that.
Any more help would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
Paul

Ahh, I worked it out...
You need to colour at the 'row level' to block out the row with colour.

Oh good- I'm glad that worked out for you!
