Sights Widget to Display Update of Any Changes of an Entire Sheet
I Desperately Need Help with understanding how to use a report and/or widget feature to display an automatic update of date whenever anything on a sheet is modified or changed. I would like for this to pop up on the dashboard I am creating as "Last Updated As: 5/5/2017" for an example.
Can anyone please help? I have reached out to support over a week ago and I still have not received a response.
I have included an example of what I am trying to do.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,
You might consider adding a system Modified Date column, and then at the top you can create a summary row that has a =MAX([Modified Date]:[Modified Date]) formula or whatever you last row is. (You'd need to put the MAX formula in another Date column.) More on the System Modified Date column in our Help Center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/1964567-system-columns

Thank you, yes I forgot to add that I did add a column for Modified date, but of course it came up with various times and dates in row under that particular column. So if I understanding correctly what you are suggesting for me to do next, is to create another column and use that formula in your response and input this into the other column? Because if so, I believe I followed that and I keep getting an error message. It says #INVALID COLUMN VALUE

Make sure that your column with the formula in it is a Date column and the formula should work.

this is what I have which I thought was correct
=MAX([Modified]:[Modified])
then I tried this
=MAX(Modified:Modified)
That is the name of my column with the dates and in a brand new column I just left if a default name as Column 58. This is where I placed my formula.

Your column reference in the formula must match the column name exactly. Check out our Help Center for information on how to reference columns in formulas: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2476171-create-and-edit-formulas-in-smartsheet
The formula needs to specifically be in a Date column type; more on column types here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/504619-column-types#date
The #INVALID COLUMN VALUE error means that the formula isn't in a Date column, but the formula is designed to return a date value—which can only exist in a Date column. You need to switch the column type for the formula to work.
