opening up a search item and having it open in a new tab

When I am in a search bar in smartsheet, how can I get it to open on a new tab?

There currently isn't a way to open a sheet you're searching for in the Search window in a new tab. I would suggest first creating a duplicate tab of the page you're working on, then search to find the sheet or item you want open.
