Hi, I am trying to set up a single select column in a sheet and I would like the values to be the content of another column (e.g. project name in another sheet). Do you guys know how I can define this in my sheet for that new column to be added

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

A solution that would be perfect for this use case is the premium add-on, Data Shuttle.

Is that an option?

Thanks Andree for quick turnaround. Unfortunately - if I see this workaround well - using Data Shuttle only allows to pull in entire columns from other sheets. I would need people to select a project from among the many that is documented in a different sheet. A good example would be time writing: need people to allocate time against projects that they work on. I want to avoid them having to enter the project names in a free text field but instead refer to the exact name as it appears in the sheet which has all the current BUSOPS projects. So it sounds something like this is not possible with Smartsheet ?
