Automated PDF

So I want to send an automated weekly update of changes when specific criteria's are met ...

1.Every week Jo Bloggs is going to receive a pdf of any row that has changes that effect the north east (a column with region)

2.Every week Tom Smith is going to receive a pdf of any row that has changes that effect Yorkshire (a column with region)

and so forth....

Weeks ago I managed to do this and now I cant it just sends out an email version not PDF, I am sure its a simple fix...

Help needed please 🙏

You can send out a recurring Report in PDF format. I think that is what you did previously.

Hi,

You can do that from Automation. add two conditions (the first for Jo and the second for Tom with the mentioned criteria). If you more are required you can add more. if the number of conditions that you can ad is limited, create a new automation with the remaining conditions.

Ive attempted that but it keeps sending in an email format not PDF ...

Useful information but that sends the whole sheet as a PDF ... not certain rows that meet a criteria...

shame ... smartsheet cant do this....

even if you filtered then got it to send a pdf of the filtered on a reoccurring basis??

No, it would send the Report as a PDF, so you'd need to configure the Report to what it should include.

well yeh but no...

as it's not a report and I dont want more sheets forms etc for this information ... I dont want to have to build a report for each person...

I have 3 managers who only want to see the information for there region once a week as a pdf ...

Do you have another suggestion as they already get lost with all their sheets etc??

I have asked Smartsheet Support about this too.

Case: I have a form that my colleague fills out. This form I want to sent to one of our suppliers as an information. No answer needed. For me, it does not have to be a pdf but it has to look more "professional" than alert format.

I can fullfill my own wish manually with the "Send" function but I want it to be automated and I would also like to be able to choose which cells to be shown pr. default if possible. And a pdf would be great!

Smartsheet Support has submitted two Enhancement Requests for these features. Hope it will be added :-)
