Cell Linking returning wrong values

I have cell linking from multiple sheets, some of the links return a value than what is linked. Ex: On the sheet I am linking the value shows -34% but the sheet with the linked cell was returning -87%. The only way to correct this is by removing the link, deleting the value in the sheet, selecting save, and re-linking.

The workaround is fine, but this is making me lose confidence in the cell linking feature as the sheet I review is used for auditing purposes. Is this a known issue others have seen?

This issue is cause by deleting a row from one sheet. Each row has its own ID so when you delete one it will break the link and cause this issue. The only solution is to not delete a row or if a row is deleted you have to redo the link. You do not have to delete the data just redo the link.

  • Thank you for the insight Antonio, the rows are not being deleted, there may be additional rows created but not deleted.

In instances when I try to correct the link it will continue to display the invalid value unless I completely delete the link, save, and then relink it.
