Create an alert only for form submissions (not for all added rows)

Hello,

I have a sheet that has all my project tasks in it. I just created a form that I want to use to populate requests on the same sheet. I need to create a notification alert JUST for the form submissions. I don't want to get notified every time a row is added to the sheet b/c I am constantly adding things to the sheet. It has to be specific to form entries. Is there a way to do this?

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Add the Created By system column and add that as a criteria
• Add a so-called helper column and set that to a value as default and hide it in the form and use that in the Workflow

@bbene Following up on Andree's advice to add the Created By column:

On your notification alert, set a Condition to only include rows where the Created By value is NOT YOUR login email.
