Packing Slip Template Final
Hi,
I am currently on this page and have downloaded the Packing Slip Template.
I have opened it in smartsheet, but cannot find out how to make it look like the Final Draft that this page shows. Am I missing some feature?

Hi @MTGoodman
If you're looking to create a packing slip or document in portrait, I would recommend looking into Smartsheet's Document Builder function. This can take data that's stored in a row and map that row data to fields in fillable PDF. That way you can house your data in Smartsheet but quickly generate a portrait document with your preferred formatting as-needed.

Hi @MTGoodman
There are different types of free templates on the page you linked above: a Google Sheet template, an Excel template, and a Smartsheet version of the same type of sheet.
The image you have screen captured is the Excel version of the template, Smartsheet will have different formatting.
Cheers,
Genevieve

Hey @Genevieve P. ,
Thank you for the reply. Do you know if Smartsheet has a way of formatting to make it customer friendly, so we can make it into a packing slip/construction estimate that fits neatly onto portrait orientation.

This was 100% what I was looking for!
Thank you so much!

I seem to have jumped the gun on this. Document Builder doesn't have the function of taking data from multiple rows and adding it into a PDF. Each item for my packing slip is on its own row.

Hi @MTGoodman
I hope you're well and safe!
Here's a possible workaround or workarounds
- Combine all the data on the same row in the same or another sheet and then use that for Document Builder.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!
