Sumif Formula

I’m trying to total the number Enrolled Students if they meet the criteria of being in the Eastern New York Region.

I’ve being going in circles with the sumif formula and keep getting an error message.  I really struggle with formulas -- even ones that should be simple.

Can someone help me write it? Thank you in advance!

=
SUMIFS([Enrolled Students]:[Enrolled Students], Region:Region, "Eastern New York Region")

As always, thank you! I guess I wasn't even on the right track with sumif when it should have been sumifs! Have a GREAT week!
