Moving sheets to folders


I have a simple and probably silly question. I am shared on several Payroll sheets dating back to 2019. They are taking over my main view page. If I create a folder (not workspace) and name it Archived Payroll and move the sheets into that folder, will that affect other people and their view? Will it move it from their sheets? Or will it just clean my page up? I know that if you move things in a workspace around, it will affect others but I am unsure if it is just a shared sheet. Thanks guys!
