Can a sheet report have a formula to filter data from a drop down?

I have sheet report that has a dropdown column with individuals' roles. The options for the dropdown are: FIT, Endorsed Coach, CWF, and CIT. On the master sheet, people have secured multiple roles and are identified in a parent-child relationship. So a person can be listed on the sheet once as a CWF and an Endorsed Coach. Is there a way I can ask use filtering or a formula to have the report reflect the individual only once with the role as Endorsed Coach? if there is a parent and child, show role in parent row?
