SS Core Certification PDU's
Hi,
I'm looking to replace my current Product Certification with the new Core certification. I'm wondering if there are any details about what constitute a PDU for the purpose of renewing your Core certification?
In the docs it states "Professional Development Units (PDUs) by attending Smartsheet training and Smartsheet events prior to the certification’s expiration."
I guess I'm wondering if these will be offered throughout the year by Smartsheet or will there be paid events you have to attend to keep your cert current?

Hi @Darren Mullen The PDU renewal is for the new certification. If you were certified under the old one you will need to take the new exam

Hi, @Debbie Smith. I have the new certification, where would I go to report PDU's for this certification? I don't see a place to do so on the PMI website.

I am wondering the same thing. What constitutes a PDU?

I just received my 2022 core certification. I understand PDUs are earned by going to Smartsheet training and events. Where can I see them tracked? How do I know how many PDU's are each training or event? Is the same as the PDUs for PMI? I lead our company user group, do I get PDUs for that? It seems we have a lot of questions not answered on the certification documentation or on the website. Could you please advise so can plan how to maintain our certification?

@Lynette.Smith Yes, I agree, not very transparent. This is one reason why I haven't gone for my Core certification yet... I know I can get it without any trouble, but I'm not sure what the burden in time or money will be to maintain it.

We have been asking the question- What constitutes a PDU for maintaining our certification? Now I am adding- where do we see the PDU's we have earned or need to maintain our certification. We have been asking this question for 6 months.... It would seem by now an answer would be available.
