Replace blank values with 0 but leave non-blank values alone
Hello all,
I have a sheet with numerous columns that contain dollar (USD) values. Many of the rows have a blank value in these columns, and I would like to change those blank cells to be 0. I was hoping it would be as simple as highlighting the column and using "Find and Replace" to replace all blank values with 0, but I can't seem to "Find and Replace" blank values. If this is possible somehow, that would be perfect, otherwise...
I need a formula that will make all blank values in a column zero BUT if the existing value is not blank, it should be left alone.
Please let me know if either of these things are possible.
Thank you!

Hello Gjohnson,
it seems a workflow can do that trick for you. Use the condition section to filter only on blank values and action to replace the values with 0.
of course you need a trigger, but a simple time trigger or a temporary column will do that trick.
