Remove numbers for a code

Is there a way to remove numbers from data in a cell

Lets say the cell says "20-210 Sanitary Sewer" can I have a formula that pulls the 20-210 from the data into another cell?

As long as it's just the first 6 characters you want to pull in, your formula would be:

=LEFT([Column Name]@row, 6)
