How can i update details column with On attachment(Excel file) in my current sheet.

Hi Smartsheet Expert,

i have a sheet with student data with columns -name, last name, and "comments". there are a lot of records and i have an excel file where it has different columns including "Comments".

using automation or data shuttle how can i update comments of specific students in the specific cell of that student's comments from the excel file i have?

Hi @Nilesh

This is exactly what I would use Data Shuttle for!

You would want to map a unique value between your two sources (either a full name column or a student ID). Then you can select just the Comment column from your excel file as the one to bring in to the Comment column in your Smartsheet sheet.

First attach your current Excel file to a row in the sheet. Then you can set up the workflow based on that attachment. Any time you want to update your sheet, all you have to do is upload the new file!
