Vote on ideas inside the post

At the moment, it's only possible to vote in the overview, and I'd like the possibility to vote inside the posts as well, so you can vote when you're reading the description/details of the Idea or similar.

We completely agree! This is a functionality we're currently looking into and should be able to implement, soon. I'll let you know once this has been updated and you can vote from within Idea posts.

This has been released!

You should now see a yellow field within any Idea post that has a Count of votes - if you click on that count it adds your vote to that post as well. Any Status updates will be displayed in that highlighted area.

Keep in mind that Ideas with the Status "Available Now!" (such as this one, now) have been implemented already, so they won't have the voting functionality enabled. Additionally, members will need to be logged in to the Community to Vote or comment on Ideas.

As a final tip - you can receive an alert when an Idea you've voted on or created has been updated! Find these settings in your Profile, under Notification Preferences.

@Genevieve P. I don't see this feature on any Idea posts. It's very frustrating because it means you can't use the search feature to find ideas to vote for - you have to browse through the listings. Example of an Idea post from yesterday - there is no yellow box showing votes.

My apologies! This had to do with an old setting on your specific account that I've corrected; please sign out of the Community then sign back in again. You should now see the yellow Status bars and vote indicators inside an Idea post.
