Automation of data in separate sheet

Hi, new to smartsheets, so I appreciate the assistance. I am trying to make it so when the Unique ID is entered on Sheet 2, Last name and First name autopopulates to sheet 2 from sheet 1. Sheet 1 would already be filled out.

I have 2 smartsheets. Sheet one is below:

    I hope you're well and safe!

    You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.

    I'd recommend using an INDEX/MATCH combination because it's more secure, flexible, and less processor hungry.

    INDEX({ColumnWithTheValueYouWantToShow}; 
    MATCH(CellThatHaveTheValueToMatch@row;{ColumnWithTheValueToMatchAgainsTheCell}; 0))
    

    Depending on your country/region, you'll need to exchange the comma for a period and the semi-colon for a comma.
