No-desired result at a Portfolio Dashboard to show a desired chart

Dear All,

My project portfolio contains three project plans.

Each project plan has three tasks. Each task is assigend with certain efforts (plain numbers, unit: hours).

I did a report to show the effort for the three tasks, grouped by each project.

Then I liked to show at a dashboard a chart how the tasks relate in their efforts to each project.

Here I was just able to accomplish this chart.

But I am not happy with it. The next picture I painted myself to show the desired result.

Does anybody know how I could accomplish something like that?

My first thought was to build a roll-up sheet, but it would have the disadvantage that I would be supposed to add by hand new tasks. I still think that a solution by a report would be the best way. But I got stuck and already tried to twist by sorting and grouping the report ... but all for no avail.

Would greatly appreciate when somebody would give me their ideas! THANK YOU ALREADY DEARLY IN ADVANCE!
