how to make URLs as attachment open as a tab not a separate window

Clicking a URL link in a cell open the link in a new tab on the browser. When you click a URL link as an attachment it opens a new window in the browser with no toolbar or menu. This happens with any browser and is not a browser setting.

Question: how to make URLs as attachment open as a tab not a separate window.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!
