Custom Legend order on a Pie Chart in a Dashboard

Does anyone know how to create a custom order for the Legend that is shown on a Pie Chart?

I need it to be in this order:

Execute

Plan

Initiate

On Hold

I know the order is based on the underlying report but I can't figure out how to customize the order. It only does ascending/descending.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

You could create a metrics sheet, manually enter the stages in the order you want, then use a COUNTIFS with a cross sheet reference to get your counts.

Are you saying to create a Metrics sheet that references the Report and does the countif and then right another report against the Metrics sheet to create the Pie Chart?

No. Your metrics sheet would reference the source data. You can then reference the metrics sheet directly to create the pie chart.

The metrics sheet replaces the report.

Thanks for your patience...I misunderstood.

I am sourcing data from a variable number of sources and gathering and sorting the Stage value from each in a report. Is there a way to reference multiple sources in a Metrics sheet?

You would heave to set up cross sheet references/formulas for each of your sources and then add them all together.

The other option would be to go into each sheet and update the statuses so that they are numbered or labeled in the order you want such as

Close or A. Close
Execute or B. Execute
Plan or C. Plan
Initiate or E. Initiate
On Hold or F. On Hold

Or something to that effect so that the statuses are preceded by something that will allow you to sort them in the order that you want.

This would really be a great feature enhancement .. we may need to switch to another platform as Smartsheet reports is unable to do simple things like this :(
