Index Match Formula

Options

Hi everyone! I am trying to use the Index / Match formula to display data from different sheets into one. But I am having trouble getting it to match, I enter the formula as below but I keep getting no match.

=INDEX({Johnson Range 1}, MATCH([Task Name]@row, {Johnson Range 2}, 0))

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hey @Britney Duggan

The syntax of your Index/Match is correct. We will walk through some troubleshooting steps.

#1 - the row that you have now inserted the formula in - does the Task Name have an exact match in {Johnson Range 2}? You can find the match in Johnson Range 2 and paste it in as the [Task Name]@row. This ensures that any extra spaces in one sheet or the other are accounted for.

#2 - Completely delete the {Johnson Range 2} reference from your formula, and using the formula wizard, re-insert the reference. Make sure the entire column is selected before clicking the insert reference. Once inserted, save and refresh the entire page. I've seen it be slow to update before.

    Did either of these work?
