Pulling data from one sheet to another

Hi Everyone

I have a sheet with confidential data on it but need to have some of the data available to various departments :

Report wont work as to see report you have to share the original sheet which we don't want to do

I have tried linking columns from the confidential sheet but when rows are removed from the confidential sheet the "cheat sheet" doesnt update with it and the moved data still stays in place

Is there anyways I can get the data onto my "cheat Sheet" that will auto update when adding or removing rows

Below is my cheat sheet ( I need to "link" about 5 columns from my Confidential register

    Hi @Sue van Niekerk

I hope you're well and safe!

You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.

To connect them row by row, you'd use an Autonumber Column in the Source sheet and add a so-called helper column to manually add the row id on as many rows as you think you need in the Destination sheet.

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

Be safe, and have a fantastic week!
