How long data entry in Smartsheet form could be saved before submitted?

If I want to enter part of data in Smartsheet form first and enter the rest of data later, how long my partial data entry could be saved before I finish all and submit it? Most of our forms are open in browser. Does it depend on browser setting or Smartsheet setting?

I guess Smartsheet doesn;t have a function to save a form before submitting yet.

@Ziwei I assume it would depend on your browser. I supposed you could enter part of the information and leave that tab open without submitting it. But if your browser closes, you might lose that info. What is it you are trying to accomplish?

Thanks for your response! I could understand the info will be lost if i close my browser. But if i keep the browser open, how long the browser will clear the part of the data i entered or refresh the web automatically resulting in missing the data i partially entered.

Is there a particular reason you foresee wanting to enter a partial form? Can you change your process so that the form can be submitted with less information?

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• You could have the form submitted partially and then have a workflow trigger and send an Update Request to complete it.
