Ancestor and Checkbox Formula

Hello! I'm trying to write a formula that I just can't seem to get right. I've got a project with several ancestor levels that I'd like to report on. I'm close, but I just can't seem to get it. I've added a Parent Row helper column with a check box. I'd like the check box to equal True (checked) if the Primary Column is the ancestor column. That way I can just run a report on the True Boxes.

Ex: I want to be able to run reports only on rows for Task 1, Task 2, and Task 3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try something like this.

=IF(COUNTIF(CHILDREN(Task@row), >0), 1)

Thanks for the quick response @Andrée Starå . Unfortunately, it did not. It's not updating the checkbox to true.

@Andrée Starå I think I'm getting closer, but I'm not quite there yet. I've edited the formula above and started something like this:

=IFERROR(INDEX(ANCESTORS(Task@row), 1)

But after that, I'm stuck. I need the check box to appear checked if True and unchecked if False.

Any ideas?
