Automation for missed daily log

I've got a sheet that is a daily log for the check of pool chemicals. We've set up some automation to trigger if the values drop or exceed certain thresholds. However would also like to trigger a notification if the frontline staff forget to record the daily readings.

I tried trigger when a date is reached (Daily) and if the Date field wasn't Today. It's triggering the alert every day so this is not working.

Suggestions?

To Trigger the automation aside from date you need to add a condition path.

When a date is reached select custom, set the custom recurrence, add a condition path

Select field (column to where daily readings recorded) "is not blank" then Alert someone (send to specific people or send to contacts in a cell)
