Smartsheet Forms and Request Update

Hi,

I want the ability to turn a form on and off for new entries so that it's only available at certain times of the year. If I turn the form to 'Inactive' will that impact the ability to send an 'Update Request' to external partners? Or is there another way to make the form 'Inactive' or stop a new entry but allow for update requests?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Forms and Update Request are completely separate from each other. Making one inactive should not impact the other at all.
