Edit Locked Column with CheckBox

Hi Team

Is it possible to enable the Applicable checkbox in a way that the two locked columns KPI Goal and KPI Achieved become unlocked for the user to input details.

I have build the automation rule but its not working as required. Dont wish to create a helper column in here.

What's not working with the Workflow?

• Do you have access to Dynamic View?
• Would it work in a form?

No, we dont have access to Dynamic view.

This feature would be for Sheet and not forms.

Automations only lock/unlock rows so I tried that earlier. But if the row is locked, the user with edit access cannot overide that and check the box

If I lock the Column, there is no rule on automation except for Cell Change value.

Wondering how can a check box feature be best utilized
