Overlaps in Start and Finish dates

Can someone suggest me a formula that alerts me whenever there are any overlapping Start or Finish dates across ALL the entries that I will receive in my Leaves Management app?

For example, all the leave applications submitted by the user abc@xyz.com must not have any overlapping Start and Finish dates; and if there are any date overlaps, then a formula must alert me about it!

If you are using a flag type column then you can use something like this:

=IF(COUNTIFS([Email Column Name]:[Email Column Name], @cell = [Email Column Name]@row, [Start Date]:[Start Date], @cell<= [Finish Date]@row, [Finish Date]:[Finish Date], @cell>= [Start Date]@row)> 1, 1)
