Exporting a sheet and its attachments

Hi
Is it possible to export a sheet and the attachments corresponding to each row (i.e in a format similar to smartsheet's)?

Hi @User251
I hope you're well and safe!
You can export it, but the attachments will be in one directory together.
Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

Thanks @Andrée Starå . The only download I get when I export the sheet to excel is the sheet. Do you mean that I should download the attachments in a separate step?

Happy to help!
You'd need to use the Request Backup feature instead.
If you right-click on a sheet or Workspace, you can request it and include attachments.
Would that work?

This feature has been requested on many, many threads since as far back as 2017.
The ability to download a sheet, and reference each attachment to its respective row, seems pretty basic, though there's been no progress to make it happen.
The backup function saves the sheet and just dumps all the attachments in a single directory - there are no references to the row the attachment belongs to other than reconciling it manually, for example by renaming each filename with a prefix including the row number it belongs to. This would be pretty tedious for anything beyond a smartsheet with five or ten attachments.
Sure hope smartsheets has this somewhere in the workstack.
