Remove conditional formatting

Can I remove conditional formatting from a cell? I've built a plan with multiple dates for action steps in columns for each row and need to lean on CF to highlight late and upcoming activities. Once the activity is completed, removing the cell color (or remove CP) would help indicate that its "completed". Thank you

@Andrée Starå I believe I understand and will need to review the CF configuration. Although, do you have the criteria to use?
