Sheet Name in report filter not working

Hi Smartsheet Community,

I have added a Condition in the filter to exclude sheets with "OLD SS" in sheet name but it is not working. Can anyone please let me know what I have done wrong? Thank you.

I double checked all sheets and there is no underscore. I also tried using just "OLD" or "SS" and neither works.

It might be one of the other conditions that don't work, so try deleting the other and only keep Sheet Name one and test again.

That's odd. I use sheet name in the filter quite often. Have you tried creating a new report and rebuilding it completely from scratch?

@Paul Newcome Indeed I tried. What is more weird is that I tried other texts in the filter and it works perfectly fine. For example, if i have a sheet named "ABC_OLD SS", I can filter it out by using Sheet name not include "ABC" but not "OLD" or "OLD SS" or "_OLD SS" or even just "SS".

I added "_OLD SS" to about 50 sheets and none of those sheets got filtered out with the "Sheet Name" does not contain "OLD". But another sheet that is named "old template" is filtered out with "OLD". So I am really not sure what the issue is.

Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

I wonder if it has to do with the underscore before OLD. Try removing the underscore (or putting a space after it to separate "OLD" from it) from a couple of sheet names and see if that works.

I checked my report this morning and the "OLD SS" sheets are gone!

So I think it is just some smartsheet glitch.

Phew. That's good news. It's always nice to hear it is a glitch and not some goofy mistake on my end. Haha.

EDIT: I wonder... Did you recently change the sheet names to add that last little bit on the end? I wonder if maybe it was just taking the back-end to catch on that the sheet names had been updated. I ran into that once before some time ago.

@Paul Newcome Yes I changed the sheet names all at once, for about 50 of them. It also occurred to me that it will take time but after 24hours the filter still didn't work then it got me wonder if I did something incorrectly. It is surprising that it took almost 3 days until the filter works though ...
