Approval Workflow Not Triggering

I'm trying to set up an approval workflow when a submitter doesn't give a 90-day notice for a meeting request on Smartsheet. Every way I set it up, it won't trigger!!

I require a 90-day advance notice to approve a meeting. When a request comes in on Smartsheet, I need to set up an approval request automation for this as it is under 90-days notice.

For example:

Meeting start date: 11/26/22

Meeting submission date: Today 10/26/22 **(this date is less than 90-days notice and needs approval)

Help!! Any suggestions?

To add to Hollie's excellent advice/answer.

Another option could be to add the condition(s) to the Approval Workflow.

Something like this.

• The date is in the future
• and not in the next 90 days.
