Different dates are reflected in the sheet and in the automated email. I have created a rule saying when a new row entry is made in the sheet the date of request column should take the current date( today's date with a time stamp) and an automated email must be sent to xxx person with few details of the request submitted.
I am able to see the correct date of request in the sheet whereas the automated email sent has previous day's date & time stamp. what could be the issue?
eg:
Form submitted today (1/11/2022)
Sheet captured today's date correctly. (1/11/2022)
Automated email sent has yesterday's date (31/10/2022).

Hi @Gayathri
Is it possible that this is a timezone related difference? If you're using the Created Date system column, the underlying date is being recorded in UTC, then displayed based on your current app settings. It may be that the automated email is showing the UTC date as it's extracted from Smartsheet and sent externally.
If this may be the case, I would suggest using a Record a Date workflow instead of the System Column!
This should show the same data in the email as what's displayed in your sheet.
Cheers,
Genevieve
