Life Science Cares- Helping he Biotech community give back
I am a consultant in the Biotech sector and we are avid users of SmartSheet, honestly, we have leveraged it in so many clients (who subsequently buy site licenses) that I think we should be getting some sort of referral bonus! Anyway, six years ago the Cambridge, MA Biotech community was introduced to a concept called Life Science Cares- an organization that aims to end poverty in Boston. One fierce leader in 2016, Rob Perez, made an idea a reality and started an organization where the Cambridge Biotech corporate, professional services, and related companies could leverage their extraordinary talents and treasures to affect change. Since 2016, $4.5M in grants have been given and over 12,000 hours of community service provided to support services organizations to do their best work in fighting poverty in our neighboring communities. Life Science Cares is a passion for so many of us in the biotech industry. It has recently expanded to Philadelphia, San Diego, and San Francisco.
