Moving rows

I have six sheets that are used for a process. So when it is completed by one department it goes to the next etc... The problem is that when you do the move workflow, it brings over the entire cell. Including the person that was dealing with it in the last department. Is there a way to stop that.

My next thing would be to do a report to see how many task each person has. But it is not accurate because of the data from the previous sheets.

You could use my method below or the premium apps, WorkApps, or Dynamic View.

You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.

Another option would be to use so-called helper sheets. In short, copy the row to a helper sheet and then use my method described previously to get the values you need to another helper sheet and then copy/move the row from that sheet to the main destination sheet.

That would create another 12 sheets but that may be my best option. I am going to try to see how my process works for now and then see what needs to be updated
