Why is this happening and how do I prevent this? It does not always happen, but when it does, it very annoying and I cannot get things done.

Ensure that the Zoom is reset and if that doesn't work, and if you haven’t already, I recommend submitting a support ticket through the new Smartsheet Support Portal.
